New Ford Aspire
comes with few visible cosmetic tweaks and mechanical revisions as part of the facelift. The style updates have been taken from Ford Freestyle
which can be seen across the vehicle. Ford Freestyle, an adaptation of Ford Ka+ from the global arena was launched on April 2018. Ford Aspire 2018 competes with Honda Amaze, Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Hyundai Amaze and couple of others from the segment.
The front fascia of new Ford Aspire gets new honeycomb radiator grille with sharper edges and chrome surrounds while the swept back headlamps have been redesigned. LED lamps, wide central air damand circular fog lamps with chrome borders, mildly revised bumpers and ORVMs, tail lights and updated 15 inch multi spoke alloy wheels are some other updates.
Inside the cabin, black and beige dual tone interiors give a premium feel compared to the existing version. Quite similar to the Ford Ecosport and Freestyle, the new Aspire too receives a floating touch screen infotainment display unit. This 6.5 inch system with Ford Sync 3, is compatible with Android Auto and Apple Car play. Other updates include new air conditioner vents beside the smart stop button, illuminated USB port, auto climate control, separate rear AC controls and so on.
The Ford Aspire comes in both petrol and engine options with five variants each and an additional automatic petrol variant. Under the hood, Ford Aspire facelift receives a new 1.2L three cylinder TiVCT Dragon series petrol engine as part of the upgrade. The 1.5L four cylinder diesel engine makes 123bhp worth power being mated to a five speed manual transmission unit. The petrol trim gets an automatic variant with a 1.5L TiVCT engine paired to a six speed AMT unit while the diesel variant misses out on the same.
Seven colours are offered on this compact sedan and prices range between Rs.5.5 lakh and Rs.8.49 lakh. Bookings for the Ford Aspire facelift had begun at the company dealerships few days ago.
