Trending car news The electric version of Renault Kwid named as Renault City K-ZE was unveiled at the Shanghai Auto Show 2019 recently. Based on the same CMF-A platform, as of Renault Kwid, the City K-ZE too gets an all electric drive train with a range of 240km.

The City K-ZE is equipped with a 33kW electric motor that generates 120Nm of peak torque. This model is capable of charging itself up to 80 percentage in an hour in the fast charging mode. The standard charging mode on the other hand will take four hours to fully charge the City K-ZE battery. Renault claims that this EV version of Kwid can be charged via standard 220V domestic plug charging points.

On the feature front, New Kwid EV gets LED DRLs on either side of the grille while headlamps are placed just below the DRLs. The overall design will be as same as that of Kwid with an additional set of alloy wheels. Boot capacity will be 300L similar to the one on Indian Kwid.

Inside the new EV car, an eight-inch infotainment system with features such as online entertainment, 4G WiFi and voice recognition system can be seen. This system can be accessed from the owner's mobile phone application. The car receives rear parking camera and tyre-pressure monitoring system as well.

The City K-ZE will be launched in China at the end of this year and then in the European market. We can expect an India launch as well, in the near future.

Trending car news Based on the new modular MMB Platform, which uses generous amounts of aluminium on the body, the weight of the cars have been evenly distributed. Porsche has given minor updates on these models for that whiff of freshness. Apart from that, the overall silhouette remains the same.

The new version of 911 Carrera appears 45mm wider than the predecessor. Updated bumper, with new splitter and air vents, slim LED headlamps on the bumper, longer bonnet, LED matrix headlamps, large rear spoiler and OLED tail lights are some notable changes. The newcomer, sits on 20 inch wheels at the front and 21 inch wheels at the rear, with large wheel arches that altogether accentuates the muscular look of this model.

Inside the cabin, elements of modern technology combines with classic design to provide an entirely different an uncomparable experience. The center console holds a 10.9 inch touch screen infotainment system enabled with Porsche communication management functionality. There is an option to select the drive mode on the steering wheel. The analogue central tachometer highlights the heritage feel inside the car.

New 911 Carrera S is powered by a 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged petrol engine that churns out 444bhp of power and 530Nm of torque. The power output is 30bhp more than the predecessor. The engine is mated to a new eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The Carrera S can reach a top speed of 308kmph.

Safety features include an emergency braking system, wet driving mode, night vision and adaptive cruise control.
