Trending car news Mahindra XUV 300 which was recently launched in the country has reportedly crossed booking of 13,000 units in less than a few days, with an additional 2.5 lakh enquiries.

The XUV 300 was launched in the segment which was already dominated by best-selling models like Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon, Ford EcoSport etc. Apparently, XUV has received a greater response than expected. 13000 bookings in a month is not a small story to tell, in fact it is huge for the compact SUV in its first month.

XUV 300 has earned this response, since it was a vehicle built with great interiors and many segment leading and segment first features, plus a powerful driveable engine. Mahindra has a popular dealer network and an impressive after sales programme too that has added to the success of this product.

Mahindra XUV 300 is being sold at a starting price of Rs.7.90 lakh for the base petrol and go up to Rs.11.90 lakh for the top-spec diesel variant. It gets 2 engines, a 110hp, 1.2-litre turbo-petrol and a 117hp, 1.5-litre turbo-diesel engine both mated to manual transmission units respectively while spy shots received earlier also suggests an auto gearbox maybe is on its way. Based on the bookings made, reports state that 75% of the total number was for top spec variants, and the waiting period extends up to 3 weeks from the date of booking.
