Trending car news The premium hatchback, Maruti Suzuki Baleno, being the first car from Maruti with a Bharat Stage 6 compliant engine has been launched in India. The new Baleno comes with a revised 1.2-litre dualjet, dual VVT BS6 engine that now also gets Maruti's Smart Hybrid technology.

BS-VI engine equipped Baleno is available in two variants, Delta and Zeta, and the price is about Rs. 90,000 higher than the1.2 liter VVT petrol (non-hybrid) variant in both Delta and Zeta trims. The new Delta trim is priced at Rs.7.25 lakh while Zeta costs Rs.7.86 lakh ( Both Ex-showroom prices, Delhi). We are yet to receive an update on the power and torque output figures.

The current 1.2L four cylinder K-Series VVT petrol engine will also get updated as a BS6 compliant engine by the year 2020 as per reports. The hybrid system on new Baleno is similar to the one that is offered on Ertiga and Ciaz petrol mid hybrid versions.

Maruti claims that the new engine has helped achieve a better fuel efficiency of 23.87kmpl. This was achieved due to the mid hybrid set up, which apparently has reduced the load on petrol engine.

Right from its launch in 2015, Maruti Baleno has been one of the best selling models through NEXA and it has sold more than 2 lakh units in the last fiscal year. Now, Baleno will also be the first mid hybrid car in its segment.

The new Baleno will be available in all Nexa showrooms across the country in the coming days.

Trending car news Based on the new modular MMB Platform, which uses generous amounts of aluminium on the body, the weight of the cars have been evenly distributed. Porsche has given minor updates on these models for that whiff of freshness. Apart from that, the overall silhouette remains the same.

The new version of 911 Carrera appears 45mm wider than the predecessor. Updated bumper, with new splitter and air vents, slim LED headlamps on the bumper, longer bonnet, LED matrix headlamps, large rear spoiler and OLED tail lights are some notable changes. The newcomer, sits on 20 inch wheels at the front and 21 inch wheels at the rear, with large wheel arches that altogether accentuates the muscular look of this model.

Inside the cabin, elements of modern technology combines with classic design to provide an entirely different an uncomparable experience. The center console holds a 10.9 inch touch screen infotainment system enabled with Porsche communication management functionality. There is an option to select the drive mode on the steering wheel. The analogue central tachometer highlights the heritage feel inside the car.

New 911 Carrera S is powered by a 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged petrol engine that churns out 444bhp of power and 530Nm of torque. The power output is 30bhp more than the predecessor. The engine is mated to a new eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The Carrera S can reach a top speed of 308kmph.
