Trending car news Hyundai India launched their latest SUV Venue on the 21stof May 2019 at a highly competitive price range starting from Rs.6.50 lakh (India Ex Showroom price). The company has now announced that their subcompact SUV Hyundai venue has achieved around 15000 units of booking.

Bookings for this subcompact SUV hadbegunat the end of April,few days before its launch. Out of the 25000 units, 2000 units came on the very first day of its launch.The company said that they have also received over 50000 enquires about this new model, exceeding their expectations.

The price range starts from Rs.6.50 Lakh for the base model which goes up to 11.10 Lakh (India Ex Showroom price) for the top end automatic variant. The Venue SUV is available in both petrol and diesel trims in India.

The 1.0-litre, three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine makes 118 bhp of power and 172 Nm of peak torque. This engine is mated to a dual-clutch transmission where a six-speed manual is also available on offer. There's also the 1.2-litre, four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol motor which churns out 82 bhp and 114 Nm of peak torque and this motor is mated with a 5-speed manual transmission.

The 1.4-litre, four-cylinder, turbocharged diesel engine produces 89 bhp and 220Nm of peak torque and is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox.

Deliveries of this first sub-four metre SUV offering from the brandhaven’t yet begun in the country. This model is surely an attractive offering from the brand and Hyundai’s achievement in this short span clearly states that the Venue is certainly on demand.

Trending car news The diesel trim includes the xDrive30d Sports and xDrive30d xLine while the petrol trim has the top-spec variant xDrive40i M Sport. The 3.0-litre, 6-cylinder diesel engine of BMW X5 xDrive30d makes 265 hp and 620 Nm torque, and the 3.0-litre, 6-cylinder, BS-VI (BS6) compliant petrol engine of BMW X5 xDrive40i produces 340 hp and 450 Nm of peak torque.

While the diesel variant can accelerate from 0 to 100kmph in 6.5 seconds, the petrol takes only 5.5 seconds to reach the same. Both engines are mated to an 8 speed automatic transmission.

All new X5 is based on the CLAR platform, seen in the BMW 5 series, 7 series and X3. The new model is bigger than the previous generation model in terms of height, length and width.The wheelbase has also been increased by 42mm and stands at 2975mm now. 2019 X5 comes with many additional features too, that was missing in its predecessor.

A restyled front bumper with larger kidney grille, new headlights, LED daytime running lamps, new X5 sports chunk LED taillights on the rear, redesigned rear bumper, etc. are notable features on the all new X5.

Inside the cabin, new BMW X5 gets features such as BMW live cockpit professional display, floating infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, leather upholstery, wireless charging, four-zone climate control, panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting and screens for the rear seat passengers, among others.

2019 X5 also gets BMW's Parking Assistant Plus. Parking assistant plus is a feature that allows the SUV to self park, which is now a common feature in most premium luxury SUV models.

New BMW X5 will continue to compete with the Mercedes-Benz GLE and Audi Q7.
