Trending car news TATA has been regaining its position in India mostly in every segment with the advent of Tiago, Tigor, Nexon and their recently launched SUV Harrier. The Indian Carmaker has developed enough potential to enter into an even more mass market. In the market, Maruti Suzuki Alto has been the No.1 car considering sales, which was last year overtaken by Dzire. Even though Tata had some bitter experience in the small car segment with Nano, things have started to change now and it looks like Tata is getting ready for once now to make a re-entry into this segment as well.

Positioned below the Tiago, the upcoming small car from Tata will be based on ALFA (Agile Light Flexible Advanced) platform that is currently being used for Altroz and H2X concept. ALFA is a highly scalable platform that can be utilized for developing new models in the shortest possible time. This platform seems to have a lot of capability and can be used to develop e-cars in the future as well for Tata. It is suspected that the next gen Tiago and Tigor too maybe based on this platform.

Maruti and Tata have been best known for cars with affordable prices in India and as a matter of fact, these brands do not really have any direct competitors against each other. Our question is, when Tata launches its new car, will it be able to take over the Alto which is already undergoing a major update? Well we need to wait and see.

Trending car news The AMG division is well known for their performance cars, especially built for Mercedes. Initially they had worked in multiple other car brands, but AMG is now officially owned by Mercedes. History apart, everyone loves two door sports coupe, even though they are not practical to drive especially in the current Indian traffic. However, this particular model, C 43 AMG falls in the above mentioned category, and is made only for the chosen few.

The exterior looks quite similar to the updated C-Class, but with some sporty bits. The side skirts, the signature AMG double slat Mercedes grille in the front surely distinguishes it from a normal C-Class with the dark themed alloy wheels add to the sportiness.

Powering C 43 AMG Coupe is a 3.0-litre V6 Bi-turbo petrol engine that produces 390PS of max power at 6,100 rpm and 520Nm of max torque at 2,500-5,000rpm. 0-100 kmph can be attained in just about 4.7 seconds, while the top speed of this sports car is claimed to be 250kmph. This engine is mated to AMG 9-speed automatic transmission with Speedshift that ensures quick and smooth gear changes with the dual clutch setup.

The interior of the AMG iteration of C43 appear similar to the non-sporty version and comes with an all black interior for sporty appeal. At the front row, there are AMG sports seats while the steering wheel is also an AMG unit. As a German and to justify its price, C43 performance model comes loaded with all the features you would expect including a digital instrument cluster, pop up infotainment system and many more.

AMG cars are for those who know the tradition of AMG line up or to the person who knows how to handle this segment of cars. This could be the most affordable AMG model out in the market, now priced at Rs.75 lakhs. C43 AMG also comes with 2 years unlimited kms service package, ranging from Rs.68,000.
